The new store of which construction took of on 23 July has been completed yesterday ( 15/9). The walls are of 10 mm thick plywood and the roofing sheets of zincalum. From today onwards the concreting of the floor inside started.

As at today ( 29/7) the roofing sheets were completely installed around 5.30 pm. Total manhours for installing the 3'x8' zinc sheets was 6 manhours for a total area of 24'x18 ' cover.

Landscaping works ( Soft and Hard) outside the family chalet's back portion, facing south is about 50% completed as at 3 May'08.

New Store for Eco-Farm

Today ( 23/7) marks the start of making a new store for the Eco-farm. The store size is 22'x18'. It will double as a farm store and a Nursery Store as well.

Works have started at the eco-farm to build a family chalet with two bedrooms, a living room,dining and kitchen areas and one toilet added to offer a reasonably comfortable stay at the farm for visitors and friends. As at now, physical progress is approximately 40 %. I will try to capture various angles and perspectives of the chalet for all to see soon. One thing for sure, the landscaping around the chalet is proceeding at a much faster rate than the building renovation/construction works.

Eco-farm Master Zoning

Our eco-farm is currently divided in eight zones (A-H). An additional area of 4 acres has been cleared but not zoned yet because no planting activity has been caried out. Depending on the planning layout, further zoning is expected to be carried out by next month the latest. This is due to the prevalent 'fine' weather for planting, i.e drier days with intermittent rains in the nights.

I can go back to blogging now , after I opened a new goggle account. Apparently, I found tremendous problems before due to my yahoo account for accessing google's Blogger.
Just a tiny note: up till this moment my eco-blogging is now four months old.
